2. Driver requirements
- Minimum driver age: 26 years. Drivers aged 21 to 25 may be accepted only by prior individual agreement and on the special conditions set out in section 9.
- Minimum driving experience: 3 years.
- A valid national driving licence is accepted if it meets international requirements. For licences not issued in the Latin alphabet, please also bring an International Driving Permit.
- A valid passport or ID document is required at handover.
- Rental is available to visitors without Spanish residency, with no citizenship restrictions.
- Rental without a credit card is possible; cash payment is accepted.
- Only drivers named in the signed rental agreement may drive the vehicle. A second driver can be added free of charge and is subject to the same requirements.
3. Booking: what we need from you
A booking is processed only after we receive your documents and details. Before we can confirm dates, please send us:
- a photo or scan of the driving licence, both sides, of every driver;
- your home address;
- your e-mail address;
- a contact phone number (WhatsApp or Telegram is ideal).
Without these documents a booking cannot be confirmed. We may request additional documents where necessary to verify identity or to comply with insurance requirements. Your data is used solely to prepare and perform the rental agreement and is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Bookings can be made through the website or directly with a manager (WhatsApp, Telegram, phone or e-mail).
- A booking request is not yet a confirmed booking: dates are held only once documents and prepayment are received.
- A change of vehicle model is possible subject to availability.
- If your flight is delayed, please tell us as early as possible so we can adjust the handover time.
4. Prepayment and confirmation
- To confirm a booking, a prepayment of 100 € is required after the documents have been provided.
- The booking is considered confirmed only once we have received both the documents and the prepayment. Until then the dates remain open to other customers.
- The prepayment is deducted from the total rental price.
Ways to pay the prepayment
- bank transfer to a Spanish bank account (Santander / BBVA / Revolut);
- transfer in Ukrainian hryvnia via PrivatBank / Monobank;
- cryptocurrency USDT;
- an Apple Pay payment link, on request.
Terms of the prepayment
- The prepayment secures specific dates and a specific vehicle.
- The prepayment is non-refundable. If you cancel, move the dates or change the terms of the rental, the prepayment is neither refunded nor transferred: any such change is treated as a new booking and requires a new prepayment.
- In case of a no-show, the prepayment is not refunded.
- Car rental for a specified date is exempt from the statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts under Spanish consumer law (art. 103 l, RDL 1/2007), which is why the prepayment is non-refundable.
- In exceptional circumstances the Company may cancel a booking. Where the cancellation is not caused by your breach of these Terms, we will offer you an equivalent vehicle or refund the prepayment in full.
5. Paying for the rental
- The full rental price, less the prepayment, is paid at handover, together with the security deposit.
- Payment methods: bank transfer, cash, card terminal, USDT, PrivatBank / Monobank, Apple Pay link and other methods agreed with the Company in advance.
- Payment in another currency is possible at the exchange rate applicable on the payment date.
- Partial payment of the rental is not available.
- A receipt or invoice is issued on payment. All prices include IGIC where applicable.
6. Security deposit (excess)
- A refundable security deposit of 300 / 600 / 1000 € is taken at handover, depending on the vehicle. The exact amount is shown on the vehicle page and confirmed before booking.
- The deposit is equal to the insurance excess (franchise): it is the maximum you can lose in the event of an insured incident, provided these Terms have been respected.
- The deposit is not an extra charge. It is returned in full when the vehicle comes back undamaged.
Ways to place the deposit
- Hold on a bank card. The amount is blocked on your card for the rental period and released in full on return of an undamaged vehicle. The time it takes for the funds to appear again depends on your bank.
- Cash or transfer, by prior arrangement: cash, bank transfer, USDT, PrivatBank / Monobank, transfer to Santander / BBVA / CaixaBank, or an Apple Pay link on request.
7. How the deposit is settled if there is damage
- If the vehicle is returned without damage, the deposit is released or refunded in full, normally within 3 to 10 days after inspection.
- If damage is found, the deposit stays blocked until the damage has been assessed and repaired.
- We document every case: photos, video and the official invoice from the service centre are provided to you.
- If the repair costs less than the deposit, the difference is returned to you.
- If the repair costs the same as or more than the excess, only the amount of the excess is retained: you never pay more than the deposit for an insured event.
- New damage to the body, interior, wheels, tyres or keys counts as damage. The condition of the vehicle is recorded in photos and video at handover and at return, so both sides can compare.
- The deposit may also be retained, in whole or in part, for: breach of these Terms; unpaid traffic fines; smoking in the vehicle; breach of the fuel policy; or excessive interior dirt.
8. Insurance
- Full insurance with an excess is included in the rental price. The excess is equal to the deposit: 300 / 600 / 1000 €.
- Insurance covers standard insured events, provided all terms of the rental agreement are respected.
- An option without a deposit or excess is not available.
Insurance does not cover:
- damage to tyres and wheel rims;
- use of the vehicle off paved roads, including volcanic and unsurfaced tracks;
- loss of or damage to the keys;
- refuelling with the wrong type of fuel;
- driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- damage to the interior caused by the Renter;
- theft of or damage to personal belongings left in the vehicle;
- incidents where the age or driving experience requirements were not met.
In these cases the Renter bears the cost in full, and the amount is not limited by the excess.
9. Drivers under 26
- Full insurance cover applies only to drivers aged 26 and over.
- Drivers aged 21 to 25 may be accepted only by prior individual agreement, and only for part of our fleet.
- For such drivers: the insurance cover does not apply, the deposit is increased, and the driver carries full financial liability for any damage to the vehicle.
- The exact conditions are agreed in writing before the booking is confirmed and are recorded in the rental agreement.
10. Fuel
- Fuel policy: full to full. The vehicle is handed over with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank.
- If the vehicle is returned with fuel missing, we charge the cost of the fuel plus a refuelling service fee, as stated in your booking.
- Refuelling with the wrong type of fuel is not covered by insurance and is paid in full by the Renter.
11. Rental period, delays and early return
- The rental is calculated in days of 24 hours. The day starts at the moment you receive the vehicle, and the vehicle must be returned at the same time of day.
- Minimum rental period: 1 day (24 hours). Maximum: 1 month, longer by agreement.
- Returning the vehicle earlier than agreed is possible at no extra charge, but no part of the rental price is refunded: the paid period is treated as used in full.
- A delay of up to 5 hours may be charged per hour.
- A delay of more than 5 hours is charged as a further rental day.
- Extending the rental is possible subject to availability and prior approval.
12. Delivery and return
- Handover and return take place at the address agreed with you.
- Delivery in the south of Tenerife is free; delivery to the north or to remote areas may carry an additional fee, which is always shown before you book.
- Pick-up or return during night hours may carry a night service fee, shown in the booking form.
- You must be present in person and present the driving licence and passport of every driver.
- At handover we inspect the vehicle together and record its condition. Please point out anything you notice at that moment: it is much easier to record it then than to discuss it later.
- The Company may charge a cleaning fee if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty.
13. How you may use the vehicle
- The vehicle may be used on the island of Tenerife only. Taking it to another island or to mainland Spain requires our prior written consent.
- Driving on unpaved, volcanic or off-road tracks is strictly prohibited.
- Smoking in the vehicle is prohibited: the penalty is equal to the full deposit.
- Carrying animals is allowed only by prior agreement.
- Handing the vehicle over to third parties, subletting, commercial use, driving lessons, towing, racing and any sporting use are prohibited.
- The number of passengers may not exceed the number of seats stated in the vehicle documents.
- Traffic rules and speed limits in force in Spain must be respected.
14. Accidents, theft and breakdowns
In the event of an accident you must:
- not leave the scene of the incident;
- notify the Company immediately;
- call the police and have the incident recorded, and complete a European Accident Statement where applicable.
- Failure to report an incident or to obtain a police report may result in insurance refusing cover, in which case the Renter bears the cost in full.
- Theft must be reported to the police and to the Company immediately.
- In the event of a breakdown, contact us straight away. Roadside assistance is available 24/7. Where possible, a replacement vehicle is provided.
- Repairs required through no fault of the Renter are covered by the insurance or by the Company. Repairs caused by the Renter are paid by the Renter.
- Never authorise repairs yourself without our written approval.
15. Fines and penalties
- All traffic, parking and other administrative fines incurred during the rental period are paid by the Renter, including fines that arrive after the rental has ended.
- An administrative fee may be charged for processing a fine and identifying the driver to the authorities.
- Smoking in the vehicle: penalty equal to the full deposit.
- Excessive interior dirt: cleaning charged on the basis of the service invoice.
- Lost keys: the cost of replacement. Lost vehicle documents: the actual cost of recovery.
- Driving in prohibited areas or off paved roads: the deposit is retained and the full cost of any damage is charged.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs: full financial liability of the Renter, with no insurance cover.
- Towing costs caused by a breach of these Terms are borne by the Renter.
16. Cancellations and changes
- The 100 € prepayment is non-refundable: cancelling means losing the prepayment.
- Changing dates, vehicle or rental conditions is treated as a new booking and requires a new prepayment.
- Early return does not give rise to any refund.
- If the Company cancels a confirmed booking for reasons other than your breach of these Terms, you receive an equivalent vehicle or a full refund of the prepayment.
17. Force majeure
Force majeure includes extreme weather, natural events, accidents and technical failures beyond the control of either party. In such cases the booking may be rescheduled, or the sums paid refunded, at the Company’s discretion and in proportion to the circumstances. Neither party is liable for a failure to perform caused by force majeure.
18. Complaints and dispute resolution
- Complaints may be sent by e-mail or WhatsApp. We reply within 14 days at the latest.
- Official complaint forms (hojas de reclamaciones) are available on request, as required by the consumer law of the Canary Islands.
- We aim to resolve any dispute through negotiation first.
- Governing law: Spain. Jurisdiction: the courts of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, without prejudice to the consumer’s right to bring proceedings at their own place of residence where the law so provides.
- Consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.
19. Personal data
We process the documents and contact details you provide only to prepare and perform the rental agreement, to comply with legal and insurance obligations, and to identify the driver to the authorities where a fine is issued. We keep them no longer than the law requires. Full details, and how to exercise your rights, are set out in our Privacy Policy.
