The worst hour of most holidays is the one spent at a rental counter after a flight. We removed it. There is no office to visit and no shuttle bus to find: we bring the car to the airport, your hotel or your villa, hand it over in person, and you drive away. Here is how that works in practice, and what makes it go smoothly.
Airport delivery, explained
Tell us your flight number and arrival time when you book, and we meet you at the airport with the car ready. Most visitors arrive at Tenerife South, which serves the majority of international traffic and sits closest to the southern resorts. Tenerife North, above La Laguna, handles more inter-island and mainland flights and is the better option if you are staying in the north.
Because we track the flight rather than the clock, a late arrival is not a problem in itself. What matters is knowing in advance. If your flight is delayed, or you are rerouted, let us know as early as you can and we will adjust. The one situation that causes difficulty is silence, since we are planning a person and a vehicle around your arrival.
The handover happens outside the terminal rather than at a desk. Allow a few minutes for it: we walk around the car together, note its condition, run through the controls including the roof, confirm the fuel level and complete the paperwork. Then the car is yours. For most people this takes less time than the walk to a rental car park would.
Hotel and villa drop-off
Not everyone wants a car from the moment they land, and there is a good argument for not having one on day one. If you are spending the first day at the hotel, we can deliver on the morning you actually want to start driving, which means you are not paying for a car sitting in a car park.
Delivery to an address works exactly like airport delivery: you choose the place and the time, we arrive with the car. Hotels, apartments and private villas are all straightforward. It is worth naming a specific meeting point when the property has a large or awkward entrance, since the front of a busy resort hotel at midday is not always the easiest place to hand over a car.
Delivery in the south of the island is free. More remote addresses may involve an additional charge, and if so we tell you the figure when you book rather than presenting it on the day. Collection at the end of the rental works the same way, from wherever suits you.
Timing your arrival and return
Rentals are counted in 24-hour days from the moment of handover, with a minimum of one day and a maximum of a month, longer by arrangement. Because delivery is flexible, you have some control over where that daily boundary falls. A morning handover and a morning return is usually the cleanest arrangement.
On the return, plan the last morning backwards from your flight rather than forwards from breakfast. Fuel is full-to-full, so build in a stop at a petrol station near the airport; returning with fuel missing means paying for refuelling plus a service fee. Leave time for that stop and for the handover itself, and the morning stays relaxed.
Two timing rules are worth remembering. A short delay on return may be charged by the hour, and a delay of more than five hours counts as an additional day. Returning the car earlier than agreed does not reduce the price. Extensions are usually possible if the car has not been booked by someone else, so ask sooner rather than later if your plans are changing.
What to have ready
Bring your driving licence and your passport, and make sure the person named on the booking is the person present at handover. The minimum age is 26 with at least three years of driving experience. National licences are accepted where they meet international requirements, residency in Spain is not required, and a credit card is not required either, since cash is accepted.
Have the deposit method decided before you arrive. It can be a card pre-authorisation, cash or a transfer, and the amount depends on the car: 300, 600 or 1000 euros, shown on the vehicle’s page. The balance of the rental is settled at handover. If a second driver is joining, mention it when booking so it can be added to the agreement properly.
Finally, think about luggage before you choose the car. A two-seat roadster is a wonderful thing on a mountain road and a poor match for four large suitcases. Tell us how many of you there are and what you are carrying, and we will be straightforward about what fits. Support runs daily by prior arrangement, in Spanish, English, Russian and Ukrainian, so if anything is unclear before you travel, ask and you will get a direct answer.
